We are an online English pronunciation and fluency school.
Required Experience:
At least two years of ESL and Pronunciation teaching experience
Must be able to utilize Skype Video Calls and have a stable internet connection with a minimum uploading speed of 5MB/s
Required Education:
At least one of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics/English
TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate
Vocal related degree/certification
Pay Rate:
When you start, the hourly rate is $15 per hour. Non-negotiable.
The rate goes up every 500 teaching hours by $1 until it reaches $25/h.
You are paid for student no-shows and classes that are canceled with less than 2 hours' notice.
There are no payment penalties for being late, taking time off, last-minute cancellations, technical difficulties, etc. We trust our coaches to provide the best service possible.
Class Size: one-on-one
You can work between 5 and 30 hours a week. It's not a full-time job.

George I. Sanchez Charter School System, a division of AAMA, is recruiting for a full-time 10 month Teacher Aide. George I. Sanchez, founded in 1973 and chartered in 1996, serves approximately 900 6th- 12th graders, most of whom are Hispanic.
Programs include early college and dual-credit courses, tutoring, ESL and LEP instruction, after-school programs, recovery and counseling, Pre-k, parenting classes and daycare for students who have children. In addition, we offer smaller class sizes and individualized instruction designed to help our students succeed. Responsibility:
Flexible Hours
Understand the needs of students and prepare the classes for your students' needs.
Teach a variety of classes online via Zoom. Teach 1:1 classes of 25 min and 50 min.
You will be a good fit if you possess the following qualities:
You are fluent in English and have teaching experience.
You can speak Spanish (B1 level preferred).
You have face-to-face or online teaching/tutoring experiences.
You are at ease with technology, and able to switch things up when a lesson plan doesn't work for students.
Technical Requirements:
Desktop computer or a laptop with a webcam. Our platform works with either PC or Mac-based machines. Tablets and mobiles are not suitable.
Stable internet connection. In an online environment, a strong connection is everything. You should have a stable Wi-Fi connection or a cable internet connection.
It is recommended that teachers use headsets, as built-in microphones and speakers do not provide enough quality for smooth communication with students.

At least a Bachelor’s degree in education, the subject area (social studies, science, math, etc.), or related field

Knowledge of the appropriate content and pedagogy
Knowledge of state standards (if applicable)
