Responsibilities:
1. Operational activities regarding planning and executive are;
a) Ensure quality production as per production plan & semi finish stock inventory

11. Monthly reconciliation of raw material, production and transfer to calculate achievement and control rejection & break down.
12. Maintain all documentation, especially bag records, Control documents production summary with downtime and rejection as per approved list and evernote.
13. To plan and skilled training of machine operator as succession plan to meet department requirement on monthly basis and submit record in HR.
14. To plan and conduct 5s, CGMP and company’s SOP awareness programmer to produce quality product and control losses on weekly basis.
15. Intiate corrective action for non-conformance and IAD observation.
16. Plan activities to achieve goal as team and staff motivation/loyalty (i.e KPI /Kaizen.
15. Attend daily review meeting, discuss department issue with pending demand and work order summary and update daily evernote for management.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Lead Risk Assessment and gap analysis for Sustainable Tobacco Program (STP 2.0) and ensure implementation of effective strategies to mitigate the effects of any risk to tobacco production in Pakistan;
Drive ESG initiatives across Leaf and ensure reporting as per the BAT guidelines & in time reporting. These initiatives include Environment, Social & Governance related initiatives agreed with Global Leaf

Drive to optimize natural resources usage to produce tobacco & set yearly targets on energy conservation, water conservation, carbon emission reduction
Ensure compliance to BAT’s guidelines on Toxicant Management, agrochemicals residues, GMO, heavy metal management, child labour, Forced Labour, farm labour practice and environmental management
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Agriculture/related disciplines.
Rich experience related to social sector especially ESG and Human Rights areas
Fully understands the Sustainable Tobacco Program (STP 2.0) concepts and ESG linkage with UN SDGs and can enforce these in the growing areas.
Understands the Agronomy and the latest techniques required for crop husbandry practices and introduction of new cultivar influences for quality and yield, to overcome the cost of production of the farmer.
Has strong project management skills with a strong drive for innovative and be a good communicator.
Strategic management skills i.e., an ability to visualise/resolve problems and study current and future market trends, are a pre-requisite for the job.
The role requires considerable negotiation with suppliers and with the various stakeholders linked to leaf operations.
A good understanding/wide experience of agriculture extension, crop production, and leaf purchase system, financial implication, processing, blending and domestic/ international tobacco trade.

Your role:
To ensure the production and packaging of company products, according to the production plan and within company’s quality, SHE & cost standards. Accomplish operational goals within the assigned Business Unit which relate to customer service, throughput, efficiencies, quality, and cost reduction. Agrees and implements production plan (e.g. if a production line breaks down, prioritises production requirements and re-allocates labour accordingly).
Conduct daily production meetings with the different production disciplines to analyse previous shift results and implements any necessary changes to meet demand.
Ensures that quality standards are implemented and adhered to.
Diagnoses plant problems (fault finding) and liases with Engineering Foremen for plant maintenance.
Responsible for ensuring staff and raw materials availability for production
Monitors operational efficiencies and recommends and implements corrective action for improvement
Assist in drawing up PPM schedules for the plant
Ensure that shift repairs and maintenance is carried out by the Team Leaders and operators to reduce the impact of downtime

Monitor and reduce wastes such as product, packaging, steam, air, water and electricity

Identifies reasons for staff non-conformance (e.g. training required, poor performance, refusal to obey lawful instruction, absenteeism) and takes appropriate action.

Co-ordinates the implementation of TPM in the factory
Skills and Experience:
Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related area of study is preferred.
5 years’ supply chain experience, preferable in a manufacturing environment, with direct supervisory experience.
Working knowledge of state and federal regulations, i.e. OSHA, EPA, FDA.
Understanding of GMP’s, safety and housekeeping requirements.
Effectively lead, coach, and motivate incumbents throughout the department.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems, strong analytical and technical thought process.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective presentation skills.
Effective influence skills and ability to handle interpersonal issues effectively.
