About Cambium Carbon
Thirty-six million trees fall in U.S. cities each year, more than all the salvageable wood in our national forests and they're often wasted and sent to landfills! At Cambium Carbon, we use technology to build local wood supply chains – we save fallen trees from landfills by connecting them to local sawyers and millers who can turn them into durable products storing carbon for generations and funding tree planting in communities that need them most. We're bringing manufacturing back to our cities to dramatically reduce climate impacts and create new green jobs.
We plan to scale into other materials and are focused on being the leading circular economy platform. We are a rapidly growing seed stage company based in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco but support remote and hybrid work. We are proudly funded by industry veterans like MaC Capital, Soma Capital, Joe Tsai (Co-Founder and Executive Vice Chairman of Alibaba), Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, Blue Ivy Ventures and others.
We’re committed to people-first climate solutions and know that the only way we succeed is by honoring the diversity, growth, and ambition of our climate-super team AND our communities.
