The APP Gastroenterology (APP) works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team to provide GI consultation and management of inpatients through the UKHC system. The APP functions as a member of the GI practice and functions as the expert to assist with chronic and acute conditions within the inpatient setting. In some service lines the APP may perform the coordination of care from ICU or critical care to discharge and then back to the ambulatory setting.
